- I am Georges Louis-Buffon, a mathematician, cosmologist and encyclopedist, and french naturalist. I was also the first to assert that biogeography was evidence for evolution, and my idea that species change over time has become the cornerstone of modern evolutionary theory.

- Hi! I am Jean Baptiste Lamarck, a botanist and zoologist. I was one of the first to propose that humans evolved from lower species through adaptations over time.
- My evolutionary theory was rooted in the idea that life started out very simple and developed over time into the complex human form.
- Me, I'd like to go next!
- A pleasant day, everyone! I am Erasmus Darwin, a British physician, poet, and botanist noted for my republican politics and materialistic theory of evolution.
- Oh, and of course, the grandfather of Charles Darwin. I had my own thoughts about how species change over time that I shared with my grandson which then helped shape Charles's views on evolution and natural selection.
