- Johnny, Ponyboy and Dally are at the Dairy Queen eating lots of food. Both boys are very hungry. Dally tells Pony and Johnny what is going on in town and that Cherry has been a spy for the Greasers.
- don worry we will save you
- this fire is hotter than the sun
- Dally is driving up to the church that is on fire. Ponyboy and Johnny are upset because they think they are the cause for the fire.
- where am I, is johnny ok.
- Pony and Johnny are wondering what they should do. The building is on fire and there are also children screaming inside the church.
- Soda is happy to see Pony run into Derry's arms and was not reluctant to see him.
- Ponyboy and Johnny are saving the children. They are in a church that is on fire and could collapse at any moment. The boys save all the children from harm.
- Ponyboy is in an ambulance going to the hospital after the church collapsed. He is scared and wondering where Johnny is and if he is safe.
- Derry went to the hospital when he found out Ponyboy was hurt. Derry is hugging Ponyboy. Soda is there too and all the boys were very happy to see each other.
