- I was in 3rd grade at a track meet for my school.  I ran the 100 and the 50 meter sprint, threw javelin, and I did the 50 meter hurdles. I won 2 of my events on the day and I was having fun. 
- I was sitting with my friend in between races because we had a really long break between the next event. She was all mad because she lost her race again. I was just tired. 
- We got bored of sitting there for 30 minutes so, we dicided to go onto the track to "warm up" for our next event even though we were just going to mess around. She said "I bet you can't jump over one of the middle school hurdles". I said "Bet' and I ran over to try. 
- I jumped over it but right when I tried to pick my feet up, my foot got caught on the hurdle and I slammed head first into the hard track at DeSales University. 
- I came off the track crying so hard and I didn't know what just happened. My mom came over to me and checked to make sure I was okay. I wasn't. We left to go home and in the car I started talking funny, it felt like I couldn't use my tongue. I blacked out in the back seat of the car and woke up in the hospital
- When I woke up I didn't know where I was or how I got there. Apparently, I was unconscious for almost 2 days. I had a severe concussion with the possibility of a brain bleed. I was in the hospital for a month after that and when I got out, I had to get cleared for every sport I played, gym class, everything. I will never run track again.
