King Charles I and the English Parliament fought against each other in the English Civil War. The reason? The king had ordered Protestants to use a prayer book based on the one used by the church of England, which led to riots. Charles’ wife was Catholic and he allowed her to practice her faith openly. As for Parliament, it did not trust the king, with many of its members opposing his sympathies towards the Catholic Church. In the end, the King’s forces lost to Parliament. Charles, I believed that God meant for him to rule. parliament won and executed charles After his death, Oliver Cromwell became Parliament’s leader. Eventually, England would set up a Republic than a Constitutional Monarchy in which the King or Queen and Parliament would work together, beginning with Charles II in 1660.

Maximillian robisphere took over and led the reign of terror The Reign of Terror was a dark and violent period of time during the French Revolution. Radicals took control of the revolutionary government. They arrested and executed anyone who they suspected might be disloyal to the revolution. eventually, Maximilian was removed from power and the Reign of Terror was over. He was executed the next day. After the end of the reign of terror the general of the french army. his name was Napoleon Bonaparte. he improved France in many ways and in 1804 he crowned himself emperor. however, his untimely demise came in 1812 after the battle of waterloo and his reign officially ended in 1815 after the great loss to Russia
after the french revolution, many people gained more rights. this is mainly because of three documents that were written, the English Bill of Rights and Declaration of the Rights of Man & the citizen. The English Bill of Rights created a constitutional monarchy in England, meaning the king or queen acts as head of state but his or her powers are limited by law. Under this system, the monarchy couldn't rule without the consent of Parliament, and the people were given individual rights. The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, passed by France's National Constituent Assembly in August 1789, is a fundamental document of the French Revolution that granted civil rights to some commoners, although it excluded a significant segment of the French population.
