- Ariel lives under the sea with her best friend Flounder. Her dad is King Triton and rules the ocean, with his royal advisor Sebastian. She also has 6 sisters.
- Ariel is very fond of the human world but doesn't know what any of their possessions are. She goes to Scuttle to ask. But her dad finds out and bans her from going to the surface again, he also makes sure she is always supervised by Sebastian.
- But she snuck up to the surface anyway and saved Prince Eric from dying after a shipwreck, but she also fell in love. But she had to run before he woke up and all he heard was her singing. She wanted to find a way to be with him.
- She goes to Ursala to become human, Ursala gives her a potion but at a price; she must kiss Prince Eric in 3 days and she will be human forever, but else she will become a mermaid again and her soul will be Ursala's. But she must do this without her voice. She agrees.
- Prince Eric doesn't see she's the one and still looks for a girl, but the times up and Ursala comes to collect Ariel. King Triton pleads for it to be him instead of her. Ursala agrees, but before King Triton can give up the throne, Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian come
- They defeated Ursala and all lived happily ever after.
