  • Pendragon: The Merchant of DeathBy D.J MacHale
  • Bobby
  • Bobby Pendragon is a regular boy living a great life. He has a lot of friends, is very athletic, and has a family that is always there for him. Bobby's best friend is called Mark Dimond. Mark is the complete opposite of Bobby. He's a nerd, doesn't have many friends, and is childish. Little does Bobby know that soon, his perfect life will turn completely upside down.

  • Uncle Press
  • Right before a very important basketball game, Bobby's Uncle Press tells him they need to go somewhere right away. Bobby, not knowing what was going on, agrees. They drive a motorcycle through a sketchy town in New York, to find a certain abandoned Subway station that will take them to a designated place.
  • When Uncle Press and Bobby got to the abandoned Subway station, they had to fight dog-like monsters called quigs, and they had to fight an evil man named Saint Dane. Bobby and Uncle press just arrived to a different territory called Denduron. Here, the quigs take place as giant monsters that look somewhat like bears, but even fiercer and bigger. Bobby and Uncle Press are sledding down a mountain for their lives while getting chased by hungry quigs.

  • Osa
  • Loor
  • When Bobby and Uncle Press got down the mountain, they got knocked out by Kagan's knights (the ruler of the Bedoowan people) and Press gets taken. Bobby awakens to the company of Loor and Osa. Osa and Loor are mother and daughter and inform Bobby that they are all travelers. It is very rare to be born a traveler, and no one knows quite yet what their purpose is. Osa tells Bobby that he has a lot to learn, and tells him about the history of Denduron.
  • Bobby learns that there are two tribes in the area of Denduron they are in right now. There are the Milago, and then there are the Bedoowan. The Bedoowan have been abusing the Milago for many years, making them work for unreasonable hours, not paying them, killing them, and taking away everything they have. Bobby also learns that Uncle Press is being held captive in the Bedoowan fortress, and is soon to be killed. Bobby is going with Loor and Alder (Alder is a Bedoowan, but is secretly on the Milago's side) to try and save him.
  • While Loor, Bobby, and Alder were trying to save Uncle Press, they found out something horrific. The Milago had discovered a new weapon. A rock called tak, which when you throw at something, it explodes and leaves the object on fire. The Milago are planning on going to war with the Bedoowan, and to attack them by surprise. Unfortunately, the Milago don't know how powerful the tak is. If they use it against the Bedoowan, they'll create a bomb destroying both tribes. This is what Saint Dane wanted to happen all along! Alder was sent to warn the Milago, but they didn't listen. What will happen to the tribes now? Will one win, or will both cease to exist?
