- Oh no! We knew this could happen with COVID.
- Hey honey, I have some very bad news. I lost my job. They cut half of us!
- We are going through a contraction.
- Well I just got fired from my job today because of COVID
- Dad! Why is Mom frustrated? What happened?
- They just cut my salary! All my co-workers and I got cut almost all of our income.
- Don't worry, it may tough at the moment but it's all part of the business cycle. We are in a trough so it will only get better from here.
- 3 Weeks Later
- That's amazing and I even got my normal salary back.
- I told you that things would get better. It's all part of the business cycle. We had to hit rock bottom before we could continue to the next part which is expansion. This pretty much means that economy is on a incline. The unemployment rate is dropping and GDP is rising.
- Great news! I got another job thats paying almost double my last pay!
- This is great. We went from stressing about making each payment to sitting comfortably. I think its safe it say we have reached the peak.
- Listen to this, I just got a raise at my work!!!
