  • Worldbuilding Tips- Don't overdo worldbuilding so much- Like seriously, it's just a first draft, and besides, people would rather learn more about the characters than how your world came to be- Don't dump your worldbuilding notes into the first page. No one will like it. Trust me.- It's OK to have worldbuilding as an afterthought- Treat worldbuilding like how you treat characters and setting --- that is an element that drives the story.
  • Oh, come on! This is way too boring! I wanna start writing my story now!
  • Welp, why should I worry with that? I'm sure if I just go on with it, the fine details of my magic system will eventually appear magically!
  • Chapter 1It was a dark and stormy night. Well, actually no. It was just a little rainy...anyways, the MC decides to walk into an abandoned building. Why? IDK, this is a first draft, so shut up. This of course, proves to be a mistake, because the villain's there, and he is not pleased because earlier the protagonist, once an anti-hero, was acquainted with the villain, and had the AUDACITY to suggest they just find a plan that didn't involve depending on like, seven independent factors! How dare they?! The villain wants revenge!
  • As magically as this elf suddenly appears to rescue the protagonist...Wait. How the heck does that even make sense? I never planned to have an elf here. Ah well. This is better than a bunch of lists anyways.
  • Chapter 2The protagonist finally meets the protagonist. "*Insert villain dialogue here*" says the villain. But fear not! For suddenly an elf comes to the rescue! And the protagonist is saved just before the *insert prophecy action sequence* could occur...Or were they?
