I cant believe the last patient we had got their baby circumcised.
I think it is more beneficial for the baby to get circumcised, their are so many more health benefits then not getting circumcised
When getting circumcised you take a risk with having surgical complications and it is not a needed surgery
Just like with any surgery you take a risk from having surgical complications. When giving a child a circumcision you dramatically decrease the risks of getting STD's
Just because the child might get an STD in the future isn't a reason to give it an unneeded surgery that could also harm the penis itself.
When you lower the risk of getting an std you also lower the risk of dying from and std. When getting circumcised you also lower the risk of getting a UTI in the first year of life from 1 in 100 chances of getting it to 1 in 1000 chances of getting it.
You also cause lots of pain to the child and the child may get and infection at the surgical site. this could in turn cause damages to the glans
At the time of the procedure there will be pain but once the surgical site is cleaned and all healed it will be much easier hygiene and just from the penis being circumcised it will keep the penis cleaner.
if you teach your child how to properly clean their penis when they don't have a circumcision that will help keep it clean.
Its hard to get a teen age boy to listen to a parent about proper hygiene of their penis.
this conversation has been very eye opening for me. thank you for your input
