Storyboard Text

  • Act 4, Scene 1
  • Take this potion. Be sure to take all of it, and right after every part of your body will turn stiff and cold. You will appear dead. Make sure you're alone when you take this potion. 
  • Please help me! I can't marry Paris! I would rather kill myself than go through with this!
  • Act 4, Scene 2
  • I knew you would come around! In fact, how about we move this wedding up to tomorrow!
  • I have gave this a lot of thought and I have decided that I will marry Paris.

  • If all goes wrong and this plan doesn't work, I'll bring my dagger as a backup plan.
  • In this scene, Juliet asks Friar Lawrence for help. Friar Lawrence offers to help Juliet get out of her arranged marriage with Paris by giving her a potion that mimics death.

  • Nurse! Nurse, where are you?! Go check on my daughter. Make sure she's ready for the wedding!
  • In this scene, Juliet tells her father that she will go through with the arranged marriage. He is so happy that he decided to move the wedding to the next day.

  • Help! Help! My lady is dead! 
  • In this scene, It is the night before the wedding. Juliet makes her nurse leave her room so she can be alone before taking the potion. She's very nervous that the plan won't work, so has her dagger with her incase everything backfires.
  • Act 4, Scene 5
  • We can make use of this ceremony. We'll turn the wedding into a funeral. You two might want to leave the room
  • In this scene, Lady Capulet and Capulet are putting last minute touches on the wedding decorations. Capulet sends the nurse to go wake up Juliet and make sure she's prepared for the wedding.
  • The decorations look lovely!
  • In this scene, the nurse goes to find Juliet. Instead of finding her asleep, she finds her cold, stiff, and without a pulse. She is not aware that Juliet has taken the potion, so she lives she is dead and calls for help.
  • In this scene, Lady Capulet and Capulet mourn their daughter as they don't know she took the potion. They decide to turn the wedding ceremony Into a funeral.
  • My daughter is dead! She was more than my child, she was my whole life! How could this happen? And why today of all days?
