- There was a highwayman in love with the daughter of the inn owner so he came to her to talk.

- He had to leave and he said he will return.
- Bitter Ending
- The ostler overheard it but he was also in love with the lady so he gave away the highwayman to the officials.
- Revenge (Next Day)
- They came to the inn, tied up the lady and waited for the highwayman
- when she heard the highwayman coming back she shot herself dead to scare him away.
- Once he realized what happened he went back for revenge but got shot dead as well.
