- British troops marched on Concord, with a much larger force than the colonists.
- British Major John Pitcarin, didn'tdidnt want to fight only to disarm the Americans. However as the first clash went on, there were 8 men dead and 10 wounded on the American side, while only one person wounded on the British side.
- Then the fight changed as more militiamen came to fight, forcing the British to retreat. As they were retreating, Americans shot from behind walls and rocks, which caused the British to panic.
