- samuris were 'lords of their lands'. this was given to them by the shogun so they protected him and fought for the kingdom of thir shogun

- samuri follows the code of bushido. the virtues were Rectitude or justice ,Courage, Benevolence or mercy ,Politeness, Honesty and sincerity Honour, Loyalty, Character and self-control
- i am loyal to my army my diaymo, shogun and my country
- we were such great warriors that we were lyal to this code and fufilled out duties at the highest level
