Storyboard Description

At the Last Supper Jesus ate bread and wine and instructed his disciples to do the same in memory of him. People fast for 1 hour before taking Communion.

Storyboard Text

  • Τὰ ἅγια τοῖς ἁγίοις
  • The Holy Table or the Altar, at the time of the Communion, is to have a clean white cloth on it. The congregation must fast for an hour before taking communion.
  • Jesus died for my sins
  • The body of Christ
  • Amen
  • Christians gather for mass before they take communion or the Eucharist.
  • Amen
  • The blood of Christ
  • The priest leads the congregation in the Eucharist prayer (the Anaphora). Standing at the altar the priest takes the paten with the bread and holds it slightly raised above the altar with both hands.
  • Go out as a living sacrifice in God's praise and glory. Amen
  • Receive the body : the host is fed or handed to you. Open your mouth and extend your tongue so that the host does not fall from your tongue. Close your mouth and allow the host to dissolve on your tongue.
  • Receive the blood : allow the host to dissolve while you are waiting your turn. Take a small drink from the chalice that is offered to you.
  • After all have received the wine and after a period of silence, sentences and prayers close the worship.
