- Dont make supper for me. Im going out.
- In the beginning of the story, the exposition we are introduced to the main character Mary Maloney who is six months pregnantand her husband Patrick who just got home from work. Mary is very in love with Patrick. The story begins with Mary and Partick in their home enjoying a drink together.
- Climax
- I just killed him
- The inital incident starts when Mary notices that Patrick is acting weird. She confronts him about it and he tells her that he is leaving her . SInce Mary is pregnant with their child he understands its a very bad time to be asking for a divorce but justifies it by saying that he'll make sure that she is financially taken care of.
- Falling Action
- The rining action begins with Mary refusing to believe what he said was true. She goes down to find something for dinner and in the freezer finds a leg of the lamb. Patrick then says that hes going out and doesnt want supper.
- Resolution
- The weapons probably right under our noses
- When Mary hits Patrick in the back of the head is what begins the climax. She used the frozen lamb leg and striked the back of his head killing him. She reacted fast to covering up the murder by placing the lamb in the oven and going to the market to buy some vegetables where she acts completly normal.
- In the falling action Mary calls the police and puts on a show by acting like she had just found her husband dead when she returned from the store. She acts distraught and the police believe her but still search the house for the murder weapon but came up with nothing
- The resolution is when Mary offers them dinner. The officers sit down and eat the supper shes prepared which is also the murder weapon. Mary exits the kitchen and snickers to herself.
