IN SEPTEMBER 1911, RUTHERFORD DIED OF PNEUMONIA, AGED 83. AFTER HIS DEATH, COBB & CO MANAGERS DABBLED IN MOTOR VEHICLES AND STOREKEEPING, ALTHOUGH NEITHER PROVED SUCCESSFUL. AND IN 1924, COBB & CO'S MAIL SERVICE COMPLETED IT'S LAST JOURNEY COMPLETED IT'S LAST COACH TRIP BETWEEN YULEBA AND SURAT IN QUEENSLAND.
