BOSTON MASSACRE
On March 5, 1770, in Boston, some colonists started heckling with the soldiers calling them names. So then, the soldiers got mad and started shooting and killed five people.
This is important to the road to revolution because this was the first tax that the British placed on the colonists which led to many taxes and laws that grew the colonists mad.
TEA ACT
In 1773, after the sugar act, the Parliament placed a tax on tea as well.

The Declaratory Act is important because with this, Britain has all the power over the colonists. This made the colonists start to get mad.
BOSTON TEA PARTY
The Boston Massacre is important because this started the idea of war since the British soldiers shot and killed 5 colonists.
LEXINGTON AND CONCORD
On April 19, 1775, the first fight in the Revolutionary War happened in Massachussetts and the colonists won.
The Tea Act was important because it was another tax Britain placed on the colonists which grew them more frustrated. The Tea Act also paved the way to one of the greatest protests ever.
The Boston Tea party is important because it shows that the colonists are willing to do whatever it takes to be free of the British and that they are ready to fight.
On December 16, 1773, the colonists protested against the Tea Act. So, they dressed up as Native Americans and dumped a bunch of good tea into the harbor.
Lexington and Concord is important because it is basically the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Since, the colonists won the battle, they have a lot more confidence going into the full war.
