- Salva's uncle was murdered by soldiers from the north. Salva had no family back then with him. The others who were walking with him treated him very badly because he was of no use as he was very small to work, and they will have to give him food and water. But they forgot how his uncle had helped them all survive. Now, Salva is going to go to the refugee camp in Ethiopia.
- Leading everyone to Kenya
- I will help others and wont let them suffer as I did.
- Salva lived in this refugee camp for six years without his family. One day suddenly the government decided to not to help these refugees anymore. The soldiers came into the camps and started shooting in the air and forced all the refugees out of the camps. They also shot some people to show that they will shoot them if they don't leave, so in conclusion, everyone had to leave the camps.
- The soldiers forced the refugees to leave the camp and return to Sudan through a river. Over there a lot of people were killed because of the Crocodiles, the soldiers were shooting, and the current of the river was high because it was raining. A lot of people had died in this incident.
- Salva is now back in Sudan and is the leader of a group. He is very fair to everyone because he shares the food equally amongst his group, he divided the work equally, and also helped children who were small. Salva helped around 1500 people and lead everyone to the refugee camp in Kenya. It took around one and half year for the whole group to reach the camp. 1200 people were successful to make it to the camp in Kenya.
