Genetic Variation : There are many kind of lizards, however they can be either as a pet to have or their wild species. For example, a lizard that can be a pet is a beared dragon and these reptiles eat mainly insects and as well as vegetables depending on the age of the lizard. A lizard that live in the wild for example western fence lizards will eat spiders, earthworms, mealworms, waxworms, larger crickets, and grasshoppers.
Overpopulation & Struggle for Survival : Lizards can be ready to mate when they are a year old for most of the small and medium species. For the larger ones it may be two or three years of age. Lizards have a struggle to survive due to their predators since they have a lot of natural enemies such as birds, hawks, owls, eagles, and snakes.
Different Survival & Reproduction : Different reproduction methods can be lizards that asexual reproduce, it is going to allow them to produce more without having to mate with a male reptile. Different survival methods is lizards that can be the color of the environment they live in so they can be able to camouflage to the surroundings.
Change in the gene pool : As long as female lizard reptiles that are able to mate with themselves without a male reptile, then more of those type of lizards will be produced which as increasing the population of those lizards.
