- Queen Elizabeth I sent Sir Walter Raleigh to go and start a colony in the "New World". She wanted gold and riches and also she wanted to expand England's territory.
- England sent Business men not farmers so they didn't know how to provide food for them selves. The land was also bad for farming. Another one of their problems was that they DISAPPEARED!
- I would send a mix of people so that everyone has a job and sticks to what they're good at. So businessmen aren't trying to grow food when they don't have the skills to.
