Echo and Narsissus Gregory Baker
This story begins from the perspective of a nymph named Echo who was cursed by the goddess Hera to only speak what she hears.
When she went our on a walk she came across a handsome man named Narsissus, she instantly fell in love with this man ,but he was ignorant and took it for granted. That was his act of hubris.
But Echo didn't care she followed him around relentlessly only able to repeat .
Then they came upon a pond and Narsissus took a glance, he fell in love with his own reflection unable to move he sat there for the rest of his life and Echo was there beside him.
It could be interpreted as saying don't take everything for granted and don't love others or yourself too muck spread everything out.
