  • we find that out by using a punnet square this is where we use one of each parents alleles. A allele is one of two or more versions of a gene. An individual inherits two alleles for each gene. And this is used to predict the genotypes which tells you what the offspring will look like.
  • How will we know if our baby will carry her moms red hair trait or my brown hair trait?

  • We can also see if the red hair is a Homozygous dominant or a Homozygous recessive by this pedigree chart which shows what your past ancestor traits were. According to the pedigree chart it shows that the husband's hair color is most Homozygous dominant because theirs a lot of his family that has brown hair and the wife is Homozygous recessive because people in her family does not a lot of red hair.
