People were upset that the British were taxing their tea so they threw the new tea shipment in the Boston Harbor
Stamp Act
no more taxes
There was a law in the American Colonies where the British soldiers could stay in the colonist house and eat their food.
Declaratory Act
NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
A red coat soldier and a few civilians got into a verbal fight and the soldier brought out his rifle and shot fife. Two died right there’d the other three died a few days later
Intolerable Act
BOSTON HARBOR CLOSED
The stamp act put taxes on any legal document like, marriage license, and news papers. The colonist did not like that and ended up boycotting it all together.
When Parliament passed declaratory act the colonist felt like that had no say in anything going on in the colonies so they started protesting. The declaratory act said that they taxed the colonies just the same way they taxed Great Britain
The intolerable act was placed on Massachusetts after the Boston tea party. This closed the Boston harbor, and it gave more power the the governor of Massachusetts (which was appointed my Britain).
