- Hernando desoto traveled to georgia looking for riches (Gold) (because they heard rumors)When they arrived they came in contact with indians hernando and his mean tortured and enslaved the indians
- Hernando desoto and his warriors attacked them the indians had bow arrows, spears, and things of that sort while the spanish had more advanced thing like guns,war dogs and horses. They killed a lot of native americans barely any survived. The spanish victored but lost a lot of suplies
- Uknown to the spanish that they brought illnes and dieses to georgia it spread and killed off more of the natives along with the spanish slaughtering them
- Hernando and his men never found gold and he eventually caught a fever and died unkown to the indians
- The spanish wanted to establish spanish missions its where they convert natives to christanity and they also use it as a trading post but that didnt last because there werent many indians left because the killings and dieses so eventually they died off so they had to shut that down
- So hernando and the spanish failed badly and killed the natives for nothing
