  • Cabinet Battle
  • My plan is to establish a National Bank and tax imported goods. This will help all of our debt problems.
  • The Constitution states we can not have a national bank!
  • Whiskey Rebellion
  • Stop taxing our whiskey!!!
  • The French Revolution
  • Thomas Jefferson and Lexander Hamilton on whether they should establish a National Bank or not. Jefferson did not want a National Bank while Hamilton did. Hamilton wanted this bank because it would help get rid of debt.
  • Washington Retires
  • Today I will be stepping down as president.
  • The Whiskey Rebellion started due to the tax on Whiskey which left the Americans very unhappy. This caused them to protest and they would eventually lose to the governent. This showed that the governemnt could handle things like protests.
  • XYZ Affair
  • We will not pay you!
  • We will keep attacking if you don't pay us!
  • The French Revolution was when the Fench launched a movement for liberty and equality. This was launched because the French thought that they did not have a great political system. Jefferson tried to help with France and this lasted from 1789 to 1799.
  • Alien & Sedition Acts
  • The Alien and Sedition Acts have been passed!
  • On March, 1797 George Washington announced his retirement and why he chose to make the decision. Washington believed it was his time to to step down and teach the US to move on. He warned about not choosing political parties to the nation would not become split.
  • The XYZ affair was when the French demanded a bribe from the US. They demanded this bribe so that they would stop attacking their ships and merchants overseas. The US did not accept this bribe and this led to the Quasi-War.
  • The Alien and Sedition Acts were acts that made life for foreigners much, much harder. This made it to where immigrants had less voting power and could be deported almost whenever wanted. The nation was split but these acts were eventually passed by John Adams.
