Storyboard Text

  • You see, instead of this hardware store, there used to be the best restaurant of all time, it was called Big joe Brady's. My best friend Jimmy Wells and I used to come here on the daily.
  • Don't worry officer, I'm not here to steal anything. I'm just waiting here to fill an appointment with a chum of mine from 20 years ago.
  • Twenty years ago, Jimmy and I parted ways. He wouldn't come out of New York, even if someone forced him to. So, we left in search of our destiny. Before leaving, we made a vow to come to this very place for another meeting for one more meal together at that restaurant.
  • It sounds pretty interesting. Rather a long time between meets, though, it seems to me.
  • I shall also take my leave after about half an hour. So long, officer.
  • It's getting pretty late, sir. I will get going.
  • I know Jimmy will meet me here, if he is alive, for he was always the truest, staunchest old chap in the world. I'm sure he will never forget.
  • Observant as always, huh, Bob? Yes, you are indeed right. Twenty years seems to do a lot to an individual.
  • I have really missed you , Jimmy. After twenty years, seeing you seems like a dream. Best chums, reunited at last.
  • Is it really you Jimmy? Oh , wow! You've really grown a lot after those elongated twenty years. You seem to have increased your height by two or three inches.
  • It has the ability to sometimes change a good man into a bad one. You've been under arrest for ten minutes, 'Silky' Bob. You are a wanted felon in Chicago. Coming quietly, are you? Seems quite sensible of you.
  • Wait a minute! You are not the friend I've known since my youth! Twenty Years is quite long, but not long enough to change a Roman nose to a pug's.
  • " Bob, I was at the appointed place on time. When you struck the match and lit the cigar, I saw it was the face of the man wanted in Chicago. Somehow, I couldn't do it myself, so i requested a passing-by plain clothed officer to do the job" ~Jimmy
  • Anyways, Patrolman Wells had asked me to deliver this letter to you. Kindly read it fast, I'm getting quite impatient.
