Union Pushes Forward in the Battle of Fort Henry
Union pushes south
The confederate army fires on April 12, 1861 at 4:30 a.m. at the location of Fort Sumter, a union base. This leads to a union surrender
It's all over!
On February 6, 1862 union wins it's first battle of the civil war and gains momentum for the union while also giving control of the supply lines.
In the next few years the union gradually pushes south.
