In this scene, the girls are dancing. This scene includes Susanna, Mary, Tituba, Abigail, Mercy, and Betty. Also in this scene, John Proctor sees the girls while they are "dancing" around the fire.
I will not sign that paper! This is ridiculous!
Just sign the paper saying you confessed!
In this scene of Act II Elizabeth is accused by Cheever and the court of witchcraft. She was accused because she apparently used a poppet to kill Abigail. The poppet was also given to her by Mary Warren.
In act III the most important part was the courtroom scene. In this part, Abigail says that she sees a bird in the room but she really does not and all of the girls except for Mary Warren go along with it until Mary Warren knows that she does not stand a chance against Abigail so she also goes along and pretends she sees a bird.
In Act IV John Proctor says that he would confess to witchcraft. When he confessed the Deputy said that he would be allowed to be with Elizabeth. John said that he did not want to trash his name and sign the document saying he confesses, so he ends up not confessing and he is killed.
