- This battle was a turning point for the continental Army, because they realized they could actualy win this war. It also convinced France and Spain to become Americas allies
- Battle of Saratoga September 19, 1777Burgoyne and his army march to Albany. Howe does so too, but gets delayed. Burgoyne nears Albany before the other troops. The Americans troops are lying in wait for them at Saratoga.
- Battle of Saratoga The opposing amries fight each other on the abondoned farm of Loyalist John Freeman at Saratoga. They fought for several hours. Though the Americans were forced to pull back, the British suffered too many casualties to continue to Albany.
- Battle of Saratoga October 7, 1777Burgoyne and his soldiers see that their supplies are dwindling. They try to attack American troops in Bemis Heights, but are unseccessful. Burgoyne and his troops begin to retreat. The American soldiers surround them. Burgoyne is out of options, and he surrenders.
