Hello and Welcome to the 2016 US Presidental Debate. Our two candidates are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Secretary Clinton, why are you a better choice than your opponent to create the kinds of jobs that will put more money into the pockets of American works?
Look, here's the story. I want to make America great again. I'm going to be able to do it. I don't believe Hillary will.If she wins, I will absolutely support her.
We have to build an economy that works for everyone, That means we need new jobs, good jobs, with rising incomes. I hope that I will be able to earn your vote on November 8th.
Secretary Clinton, thank you. Mr. Trump, the same question to you. You have up to two minutes.
Thank you, Lester. Our jobs are fleeing the country. They're going to Mexico. They're going to many other countries. You look at what China is doing to our country in terms of making our product.
We cannot let it happen. Under my plan, I'll be reducing taxes tremendously, from 35 percent to 15 percent for companies, small and big businesses. I look very, very much forward to doing it. We have to renegotiate our trade deals, and we have to stop these countries from stealing our companies and our jobs.
One of you will not win this election. So my final question to you tonight, are you willing to accept the outcome as the will of the voters?
Well, I support our democracy. And sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But I certainly will support the outcome of this election.
All right. Well, that is going to do it for us. That concludes our debate for this evening, a spirit one. We covered a lot of ground, not everything as I suspected we would.
