- hey mom, what are square and cube roots?
- square and cube roots by: Emma Tucker
- a square root is a number that produces a specified quantity when multiplied by itself. Ex. the square root of 7 is 49. the number that produces a given number when cubed. Ex. the cube root of 64 is 4.
- mom i don't understand, that seems hard.
- Oh, Alana it's not hard, come on lets go inside to talk.
- when it's squared it means to multiply it by itself. cubed means to multiply it three times by itself.
- okay, i think i understand now.
- i understand square and cube roots now!
