  • That is still too high try going down some more.
  • It's okay, I was just like that when I started.
  • It took me 3 times to get one thing right
  • This is Tina, Tina is a beginner ballerina. Tina just started this new ballet class and noticed how her posture was different from everybody else. Tina was 10" away from the mirror and noticed she was holding her leg up at a 45 degree angle. She wonders how higher her leg has to go, so she uses math to try and help her posture get better. She finds out sin(45) x 10= 7.07. She has to raise her leg 7" higher.
  • Tina showed her instructor her new posture and the instructor told Tina she needed to bring her leg down some more. She decided to try something new and she put her hand 7" away from each other on the rail and raised her leg to an 30 degree angle. She needed to know how much lower she had to keep her leg to keep a perfect posture. She knew that sin(30) x 7=3.5. So she has to raise her leg 4 more inches.
  • I'm so proud of you guys, especially you Tina
  • Tina and her older sister, Ashley who is a former ballerina went to the parlor to get food. Tina was telling Ashley how it took her a minute to get her posture right.
  • Tina decided she was going to come to practice a little early and watched how the other girls did there leg posture. Since she was only 6" away from the rail which was 8" away from the mirror. To get the right angle of her leg she figures out that sin-1(8/6)= 53.1
  • Tina finally got her posture right and felt comfortable dancing with the other students just in time for their first recital.
  • The End.
