- Exposition
- Hi I'm Cal! And my mother passed away.
- Hi, I'm Pop! And we've lost our farm in the Great Depression.
- Conflict
- I'm sorry, but you'll have to go to Challagi Indian Boarding School alone, while I'm in Washington.
- Rising Action
- Good Morning! My name is Superintendent Morrell, and this is Possum! He'll show you around. I knew your father you know, he came here too!
- Hello, my name is Possum!
- Pop and 12 year old Cal lost their farm in the great depression, Cal lost his mother too.
- Climax
- Pop tells Cal that he has to go to Challagi Indian Boarding School, while he goes to Washington.
- Falling Action
- I don't know if you knew, but there is a possible to be war in Washington right now! Be careful!
- Cal arrives to Challagi and gets greeted by Superintendent Morrell and one of the boys named Possum.
- Resolution
- Cal has made real friends, but he has a nightmare that people are asking him about. Later that night, Possum and Little Coon help Cal escape.
- Cal has escaped and is on his way to Pop. He meets someone named Gale in the train, that tells him that there is a war occuring in Washington.
- Cal has finally reunited with Pop and Pop finally had the opportunity to read Cals letters. Cal later realizes that he belongs in Challagi, so he decides to go back while Pop tries to get their farm back.
- I'm so happy that you read the letters! But I've realized that I should go back, meanwhile you get our farm back.
