Storyboard Text
- Shauzia starts her journey to Paris. She gets in a broken down row boat with a random man and a bunch of young boys who also want to leave Afghanistan. Shauzia spends two days on that boat, she thinks they are going to know that she's a girl.
- Shauzia and the other kids are travelling through a bunch of countries around Afghanistan. Eventually they all make it to their destinations except for Shauzia, she is left on her own. She begins to look for the next step in her journey.
- She finally finds a way to get to Paris. She gets to an old looking helicopter that's going to France. At first she thinks the man driving is a bit sketchy but then she realizes something that man wasn’t a man it was a woman just like her. It was a lot easier to tell but from far away she looks just like a man. Shauzia gets in the helicopter and takes the ten hour flight to Paris. Her and the woman talk the whole time.
- Shauzia makes it to Paris. She has no idea what she’s doing but she sees a good spot near the eiffel tower and decides to start there. She brought a few things from Afghanistan to sell so she was going to work from there. Business was tough at first but eventually people started to hear about her shop and she started making money.
- Shauzia starts to feel lonely. She misses her family even if they weren’t very good. The woman that brought her to Paris was coming to her shop everyday to say hello. A few days later the woman comes back with two men. Shauzia assumed one was her husband because the third man told her she was being adopted by them.
- Shauzia is adopted by her new family. She lives in a nice big house with her new parents, a pet dog and her new older brother. Shauzia no longer was lonely; she had a bunch of new friends from her new school but she still kept her promise with Parvana 20 years later when they met at the eiffel tower and after all those years were still friends.
