We have decided that there should be a recount on the votes.
Recounting the votes violates the "Equal protection" clause.
Question before court
December of 2000
During the 2000 presidential election George W. Bush and Al Gore were close in their number of votes and the Florida Supreme Court decided that the votes in question be recounted by Hand. These votes would show who would win. But Bush requested the recount to stop because he said it violated the "Equal protection" clause.
Did the lack of standards for a manual recount of voters ballots violate the "Equal protection" clause?
