Storyboard about the Jamestown colony

Storyboard Text

  • Jamestown Reason for settlement:
  • Growing tobacco is hard and its hot.
  • Problems:
  • Ahhh...Ow.
  • Ahhh... Please spare me.
  • What to fix:
  • Warm clothes and blankets
  • The people of the Jamestown colony left to go and expand England's territory, find riches, make money and find a water route to the Pacific. They succeeded in growing cash crops like tobacco to make money and were successful with growing tobacco. In my picture Its showing them growing tobacco because I feel that was the most important thing that they did.
  • Their problems were a very harsh winter in which many colonists died, in winter they did not have a lot of food and slowly ran out, there were many diseases and on the 3rd day of arrival natives attacked them. In my picture it shows the natives attacking them and I feel this was important because some died and it shows how hostile they were. Some also died on the journey from diseases.
  • I personally think the two most important problems were they got super cold and got hungry so I would make sure to bring plenty of warm clothes, blankets coats and anything to keep warm and I would bring cows and chickens and livestock so I could get food from them. In my pictures it shows me packing up extra supplies.
