  • I wonder why pluto is no longer a planet.
  • I'll look it up.
  • Here we go! In 1930,american astronomer Clyde Tombaugh discovered pluto.
  • In 2006 however, changes were made.According to the International Astronomical Union, a celestal body must meet the following criteria to qualify as a planet:
  • A planet must be round,a planet must orbit the sun,a planet must have"cleared the neighborhood" of it's orbit.
  • This means that as the planet travels, its gravity sweeps and clears the space around it of other objects.
  • PIZZA
  • pluto does not follow the third rule. It has not yet cleared the neighborhood of it's orbit, but don't feel sad for pluto,
  • it has a new title-"Dwarf planet". There are currently five dwarf planets in space, scientists expect more dwarf planets over time.
  • cheesecake
  • WOW! That was very interesting, it's nice to learn something new every day!
