The French fought the British with the Colonists on their side. Britain needed money, so they decided to tax the Colonists. This made the Colonists unhappy.

After Townshend Acts, Colonists were very angry not only of restrictions but also writes of assistance. The Boston Massacre was a street fight that killed many Colonists.
The colonists were irritated because they didn't like the fact that they had to pay taxes on tea, so they dressed themselves as Native Americans, and they went to take the boxes of tea and dump it into the harbor.
King George passed a law that the red coats could go into the Colonists homes to live their, and be fed. The Colonists were furious because they thought the red coats shouldn't be coming into their homes and forcing the Colonists to feed them.
