  • Oh no, the wind is weathering me!
  • Now erosion with water is taking me somewhere! oh no!
  • Now I've been deposited in this!
  • The wind is wearing away at the rock, taking small sediments off of it. This is called weathering. The material moved by erosion is sediment. Deposition occurs when the agents (wind or water) of erosion lay down sediment. Deposition changes the shape of the land.erosion Gravity, running water, glaciers, waves, and wind all cause
  • Now the water is weathering me!
  • Erosion is when those sediments are carried away by water, wind, and ice. Erosion with water is when flowing water carries sediments away.Erosion happens when rocks and sediments are picked up and moved to another place by ice, water, wind or gravity. When the water freezes it expands and the cracks are opened a little wider. Over time pieces of rock can split off a rock face and big boulders are broken into smaller rocks and gravel.
  • Deposition is when the sediments are dropped off somewhere and sometimes they compress, sometimes making more rocks or changing landforms.deposition is the process by which, in sub-freezing air, water vapour changes directly to ice without first becoming a liquid. This is how frost and hoar frost form on the ground or other surfaces. Another example is when frost forms on a leaf.
  • Now I am a very tiny piece of sand in someone's yard because of deposition!
  • Now the water in this marsh weathers this small rock by taking sediment off with the flowing.
  • Then the wind picks up the sediment, and erosion with wind happens. The wind picks up the sediment and carries it away.
  • Now erosion by wind is taking me somewhere!
  • Now some parts of the rock are deposited in my backyard and compress into a small piece of sand.
