My ordinary world was my home in Malibu with my two cats and lizard.
Crossing the threshold
My call to adventure was when I was asked to go on a backpacking trip with my troop in Washington.
Tests,Allies,and Enemies.
In the beginning, my fellow boy-scouts and I were a little bit anxious about going to Washington for a week
Approach
My dad helped me throughout the backpack, whether it was helping me fish or helping me set up my tent, he was always there to help.
Ordeal, Death and Rebirth
I believe that I truly crossed the threshold when I saw the plane leave the ground, air bound to Washington.
I had many tests, allies, and enemies, my tests were the sometimes mailed trails, my allies were my fellow scouts and the adults. My main enemy was the amount of mosquitos but the rain also hindered me and my troop
Our approach was how my scoutmaster allowed us to plan each trip, are responsibility was to decide how many miles to hike and which campsite should we stay at.
My ordeal was when I realized I was going to have a large mountain range to cross, this brought my troop to our knees.
Reward, Seizing the Sword
The Road Back
Resurrection
Return with the Elixir
My real reward from the whole trip was the outstanding memory's as well as physical pictures
The road back in this case was literally a 25 mile stretch back to the cars.
The resurrection was the last little bit of land left on the trail home, it was also the longest trek of the trip.
When I was on the ferry that took us back to the airport, I returned with knowing I had hiked fifty miles in the beautiful temperate rainforest of olympic national park and it felt amazing.
