Mia is defending her literature review and the readers are asking questions.
Kate, would you like to ask a question?
Food Tourism in Malaysia
Kate asks Mia to expand on a topic she mentioned in her Literature Review.
Yes. On the topic of culture, you said that gastro tourists also participate in culture tourism and cultural tourists participate in gastro tourism. Can you explain how that happens?
Mia refers to her literature review paper, which Kate has read.
Got it! Page 3.
Sure, Kate. Thanks for your question. If you look on page three of my review you can see the information on food tracks and food streets. These are special places or groups of places that are destinations for food tourists looking for traditional foods. The journey and watching the food being prepared are forms of cultural tourism. Also there may be traditional artistic performances on special days.
You may get questions youdon't know the answer to. Stay calm and tell the panel what do know about the topic. Be honest.
How many food festivals are there in Malaysia?
My research did not cover that. However in my review I list three of the most famous ones as well as one well-known food track. The number of food festival and local culinary fests is definitely growing.

At times, the reviewers might try and CHALLENGE you with tough questions. Be ready!
In your review you have nine references from Zaninal, Zali and Kassim , 2010. Don't you think you are relying too much on this one source?
Well, no. Those researchers did extensive quantitative research on a topic that was highly relevant to my question. So although I did use their data a lot, I don't think it is too much. They are a valuable source for my review.
Good job defending your work Mia. I have to get ready for the next group now.
