- We are the police, and we have come to take you out of your house.
- We have men that have come to take away your belongings.
- As a reporter, Ta-Nehisi Coates is experiencing a black family being ripped out of their home. In the picture above, he is standing outside while the police are about to go inside and talk to the black family.
- I'm sorry for not telling you about this, but I was too embarrassed.
- A mother is trying to keep her children calm, while the police officers entered their house, and are now talking to them.
- I'm so angry. How can you do this to me?
- The mother is still tending to her children, while to police explain what is going on.
- I'm still very angry. Please don't do the to my family and I.
- The man was humiliated because he knew for some time that he was threatening his family, but couldn't admit it to his wife or children.
- The man then became very angry, and started yelling and taking his anger out on the officers. The officers eventually turned away, and stopped listing to him.
- Now that the officers are no longer listing to the man, he starts to take his anger out on the black people that have been hired to put his family out on the streets.
