  • The American land fell under the control of the british. Tensions were high, and so were taxes. The colonists were angered. So.........
  • After the French and Indian war...
  • The Boston Massacre: Soldiers lost control and fired into the crowd. 3 men were killed.
  • ATTACK!!!
  • Crates of tea were dumped into the sea. This event became known as the Boston Tea Party
  • First, The stamp act, the Boston Massacre, then the tax on tea.
  • These colonists are getting out of control! They will pay for the damage! I now decree, that Boston Harbor is to be closed until the debt is paid, and we will put more force upon these rebels!
  • The time for Liberty has come, whether King George permits it or not. We the people will now declare our independence to be free from the forced bands of Great Britain.
  • And so, The Declaration of Independence was signed, and the colonists Americans would begin to break free.
