- I'm coming back right away, I'll bring pizza. You want extras, Jimmy?

- He'd waited for her first with impatience...
- Oh No!
- Sir, we need you in the monitor room. There's been an outbreak!
- then with anxiety...
- What's going on?!
- I think we have a problem.
- ...then panic. It shouldn't take them that long to make a couple of pizzas, thought Jimmy.
- Jimmy was soon distracted when a staff member from the video monitor room came to get him. Crake was off-site and so Jimmy was second-in-command. At first Jimmy thought it was routine, another minor epidemic or splotch of bioterrorism, just another news item.
- They noticed the outbreak in Brazil. Far enough away. Then the next one hit, and the next, the next, the next, rapid fire. All across the globe. This was major!
