  • CloudsClouds are visible masses of water vapour in our atmosphere. They are formed when water evaporates from places like oceans and lakes, and then condenses when it cools down again.
  • WARNING WIND!!!The movement of air in the sky is called wind. The variations in air pressure in our atmosphere are what generate wind. Air tries to move into low-pressure areas from high-pressure areas. The air moves between the two areas more quickly the greater the air pressure difference.
  • The amount of water vapor in the air is referred to as humidity. Between 0.1% and 4% of the gases in our atmosphere are made up of water vapor. Rain occurs when water droplets fall from clouds in the sky. Warmer air may hold more water vapor than cooler air, which is why warm tropical areas frequently feel sticky. Tiny water droplets abound in clouds, and as they absorb additional moisture, the droplets grow bigger and heavier. The droplets eventually lose their ability to remain in the air and fall to the ground.
