Did you know that some of your relatives were black heroes. Well before I start, I wan't you to think if when you grow up you can be a black hero, okay
Langston Hughes was born on January 1st, 1902, in Joplin, Missouri. When he was a baby, his mother, Carrie Hughes, and father, James Hughes divorced. So then he had to live with his grandma, because his mom had to find a new job and that his parents divorced. It was hard for him to do anything because his grandma was becoming old, so she couldn't do much so Langston had to cook, clean his own clothes, help his grandma, it was too much for him.
But when his grandma was still alive, she used to tell Langston story's of black heroes so Langston could be inspired. Langston's grandma told these story's over and over again because she wanted Langston to now that blacks were treated unfairly and she wants Langston to become famous to show that blacks should be equally treated just like whites.
