After many years of fighting, the Crusaders' army decides to go home. Many of them are sick or dead. There was little hope that they could conquer, so they went home to their families.
Run!
When the small group got there, they cried and fell on their knees. Then they marched around the city peparing to take it. They had plans to make ladders to scale the walls.
Now let's go home!
The ladders were too short because there was not enough wood. The walls were too strong and there was a limited amount of food and water. Finally, they pushed into the city because Italian ships brought them wood.
No! It is too short!
But when they got into the city, they were not kind or merciful, but slaughtered men, women, and children. They had no honour and were evil.
AGHHHHHH!
The men go home. They go home to their families, believing that they did nothing wrong. They conquered the Turks and almost wiped them out.
