- In 1994, Mara in Ukraine was seen on a phone near a Ukrainian church. Across the church is a war torn facility with plans to break apart from the Soviet Union and reuniting Germany together. Standing in front of an Embassy Mara calls upon guards to make sure nothing gets by security, minutes later, Mara was shot and the assassin fled to a safehouse in Russia
- Maksim First Mission With Gabe In 1994
- Seconds before Mara was shot, an explosion occured near a civilian hotel, heavily occupied by both civilians and terrorist working for Mara. There were no casualties at the time. Maksim Romanoff had to kill some guards and arm some Ukrainian civilians to prevent himself being investigated by Mara's agents. If he lingers around and is caught by guards, he would have been ask to be inspected. If they see his suppressor, they would have arrested and interrogated him.
- Finding More Evidence In Myokaiv
- Hours after the assassination they escaped to Russia to flee from Mara's guards to warm Russia's local governments about Mara. Later that year Maksim meets Gabriel Logan and Carla Loomis in Washington D.C. One evidence Maksim found is Mara wants to covertly redo what Stalin did in Ukraine and possibly Germany and Belerus as well by recording her conversations with her agents while in disguise.
- Fallen For A Trap Ambushed
- Gabe questioned Maksim why he didn't gather more evidence to prove Mara is a terrorist, he replies to Gabe that he and the whole guards are under survaillance and can't be alone for a long time. After the assassination attempt in Mykolaiv Ukraine, getting there is going to be trickier than last time. Guards are posted everywhere. They arrive at dusk and managed to get to Maksim's old safehouse.
- Maksim kept weapons inside his storage room in his home. He briefs Logan where all intel are possibly located. He suggests not any guards or making certain moves unless absolutely neccessary. Outside the area is guarded by 5 personnel. They kill them using a silenced pistol and taking their disguise. Afterwards, they race to where Mara was to find out what she is planning. Unfortunately things got bad from there on out.
- Hours after searching for clues, they found themselves in a trap with Mara's tape recording indicating that whoever shot her has been set up for an ambush. It turned out Mara and her agents set up traps in case anyone attempts to stop her. Before they escaped back to Maksim's safehouse, Maksim found a recording of a phone conversation on Mara's whereabouts. They both inform Loomis about the mission.
