Hospital Scene- Rex believes in natural medicine. Lori was stung by a scorpion and Rex took her to a Navajo witch doctor. The witch doctor put a brown paste making Lori a brand new person. "Dad left home as soon as he could"(pg.148) " Dad had taken to disappearing for days at a time"(pg.171) "
Brian
Rosemary became very lazy as the children grew up and started helping out around the house. She was suppose to start teaching one and was so depressed she told Jeanette she had to start providing for the family. "Mom rarely got angry. She was usually either singing or crying, but now her face twisted with fury" (pg.219)
Jeanette
