- You have too many troops. When we win this war, nobody will recognize that I helped.
- The troops and Gideon camped at Gibeath-moreh. Then, the LORD explains to Gideon that there are too many troops.

- Then, the LORD had an idea where they tried to have the number of troops decrease. 1st, anybody who was scared could. Then, at the water, the troops who "lapped" the water stayed and the rest were forced to leave. The number of troops, in the beginning, was 32,000 and in the end, there were 300 left.
- Anybody who is scared or wants to leave can leave.
- I will stay!
- I am scared. I will go!
- While a Midianite was explaining his dream, Gideon decided to listen in to see what they were saying.....
- “That can only mean the sword of the Israelite Gideon son of Joash. God is delivering Midian and the entire camp into his hands.”
- "A loaf of barley bread was whirling through the Midianite camp. It came to a tent and struck it, and it fell; it turned it upside down, and the tent collapsed.”“I had this dream: There was a commotion."
- Then, they blew the shofars and fought. They finally won as God promised!
